How We Turned Subaru’s Accolades into a Customer-Focused Experience

What We Did


Subaru was looking for a way to stand out and connect with attendees at the major North American auto shows. They are one of the most decorated car brands available and wanted to bring their 230 awards to life in a way that reflected their brand values: safety, performance, longevity, and, of course, their love for dogs. A physical trophy case simply wouldn't be enough to stand out at bustling auto shows, which is how we got involved.

The Display that Makes You Stay


Auto shows are packed with screens vying for your attention with exciting video and graphics. But imagine walking through the show and suddenly seeing yourself in a display with some friendly dogs trying to get your attention.


We collaborated with EWI Worldwide and Super Toy Box to create something unique that could travel to major auto shows throughout the United States. It started with a cutting edge, high definition mirrored display that let attendees see themselves in the Subaru brand and explore their accolades in a fun, approachable way. That's where the dogs came in. Subaru's beloved mascots, the Barclays, came to life when people were nearby. Their wagging tails and playful barks demanded attention from show attendees.

Putting Visitors First

The mirrored touchscreen display transformed a passive viewing experience into an active, personal journey. By reflecting attendees’ images, it invited them to see themselves in Subaru’s story, creating an emotional connection to the brand.

Designed to Shake Things Up

Interactive Storytelling

Motion-activated technology invited users to navigate through Subaru’s awards by category, breaking down complex data into digestible stories about safety, performance, and longevity. Attendees didn’t just see the awards — they learned about the innovative features that made Subaru vehicles stand out.

Barking Up the Right Tree

To stay true to Subaru’s brand, we shot custom footage of Barclays lookalikes that delighted attendees and reinforced the brand’s playful identity. With over a dozen unique interactions, the dogs became the heart of the experience, keeping the display dynamic and engaging.
